Terms of Use

The free trial never charges automatically, and Pro is one App Store purchase.

1. Purpose and operator

These Terms govern use of the Clock Widget app, WidgetKit extension, seven-day free trial, and Pro Lifetime Access provided by EarlyBug.

2. Definitions and availability of these Terms

  • “Service” means the iPhone Lock Screen hour and minute widgets, clock browsing, saving, management, and installation guidance.
  • “Seven-day free trial” means a zero-priced, non-consumable App Store product that unlocks Pro for one seven-day period without renewal.
  • “Pro Lifetime Access” means the non-consumable in-app purchase sold through the App Store.

These Terms and the operator’s business details remain available from the purchase screen and official support site.

3. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms only as permitted by law. We will post the effective date and reason at least seven days in advance, or at least 30 days before a materially adverse change. You may stop using the app before a change takes effect.

4. The Service

  • Browse and preview free and Pro clock designs
  • Save, select, and remove clocks and configure paired hour/minute widgets
  • Choose 12/24-hour and numeric, colon, or Korean-unit formats
  • Use installation guidance, the free trial, Pro purchase, and restore

Apple requires you to complete Lock Screen placement yourself in the iOS customization interface.

5. Seven-day free trial

The trial is the zero-priced, non-consumable “7-day Trial” product permitted by Apple’s review rules. It is not a subscription. It unlocks all Pro clocks for seven days from Apple’s verified original purchase date and never creates an automatic charge. Restoring it with the same Apple Account does not reset or extend the original start or end date. Free clocks and the weekly free Pro clock remain available afterward; continued access to all other Pro clocks requires a separate Pro Lifetime Access purchase.

6. Pro Lifetime Access and price

The planned launch price in the Korean storefront is KRW 4,900. The price shown by the App Store when you purchase is the binding price and may differ by territory, currency, tax, or Apple pricing policy. A single purchase unlocks current and future Pro clocks without a subscription fee.

7. Contract formation and delivery

The purchase contract is formed when you approve the App Store confirmation and Apple verifies the transaction. Pro access is enabled promptly after verification, and a selected clock becomes available after it is saved. Payment methods, receipts, tax, and Family Sharing availability follow Apple policy and your App Store settings.

8. Restore, withdrawal, and refunds

Pro Lifetime Access and the 7-day Trial purchase record can be checked for the same Apple Account using “Restore Purchases.” Restoring the trial does not reset or extend its original dates.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights under applicable consumer law. Apple accepts App Store refund requests through Report a Problem. Statutory limits may apply after digital content supply has begun.

9. Service conditions and limitations

WidgetKit schedules updates according to battery, system conditions, and Apple policy, so displayed time may occasionally be delayed. Supported devices, Lock Screen configuration, and widget behavior may vary by iOS version and device settings.

10. Your responsibilities

You must use the app lawfully. You may not reproduce or resell its code, design, or product configuration without permission; bypass technical protections; interfere with the Service; or infringe the rights of EarlyBug or others.

11. Intellectual property and fonts

EarlyBug or the relevant rights holder owns the app code, editorial design, copy, and brand. Each open-source or freely licensed font remains governed by the license displayed in the app, and these Terms do not restrict rights granted by that license.

13. Changes, suspension, and termination of the Service

We may change or temporarily suspend the Service when reasonably necessary for security, stability, operations, or platform changes. We will provide advance notice where practicable and may notify afterward for urgent security or outage work. We will make reasonable efforts not to unfairly restrict previously purchased access.

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, EarlyBug is not liable for loss caused without its intent or gross negligence by force majeure, Apple-service outages, iOS policy changes, communications failures, or your device settings. This clause does not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

15. Disputes and governing law

We will first try to resolve disputes through the support contact. Eligible e-commerce disputes may be referred to the Korea Fair Trade Commission or a designated dispute-resolution body. Korean law governs these Terms, and jurisdiction follows mandatory applicable law.
